The Green Lantern may not be the best superhero movie out, but damn, it's leading man, Ryan Reynolds, looks good in a suit! He's following the three piece suit trend that we've seen on the Hollywood men of late - and I am for one, not complaining! Glad to see class is being injected back into fashion.

Ian Somerhalder Testifies

It's very rare that you see Ian Somerhalder without his trademark hat and some unfortunate clothing. He's making his way to Capitol Hill in Washington to testify before congress to help save Leatherback turtles. He should head to Congress more often. It mean's we'll get to see him in a suit more often.

Ahh, it would't be Damon Salvatore without his black lace boots. Nobody's perfect.

The Hunger Games: This is not how I pictured it

I'm not going to lie, I am a HUGE fan of The Hunger Games! I read the trilogy in 3 days and I currently am re-reading it again for the 100th time. Now, when the first pictures of Gale and Peeta (Liam Hemsworth & Josh Hutcherson) were released by America's Entertainment Weekly this week, I was so excited!

Liam Hemsworth looks EXACTLY how I pictured Gale to be - handsome and rough around the edges!

Peeta, on the other hand - UMM, is it just me or does he look like the biggest PANSY?! I really do like Josh Hutcherson but he does not suit being blonde. I think I'm going to stick with the image of Peeta I have in my head...Sorry, Josh but you're not my Peeta!

Fun, Fearless, and Flawless!

Cosmopolitan's 2011 Fun Fearless Females awards were held on Wednesday night at the Catalina in Rose Bay. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend due to prior commitments, but I hear it was a fantastic night and guests walked away with over $500 worth in goodie bags (they are always the best part!).

My favourite look of the night belongs to presenter Laura Csortan who looked absolutely STUNNING in her Rachel Gilbert (a favourite of the celebs!) Zippola Dress and peep toe Louboutins.

Lover loves Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr jetted into Sydney this week for a David Jones promo tour. I'm surprised DJ's have still managed to keep her on board with all the brands that have jumped ship to Myer. On Wednesday she was spotted in the flagship DJ's store on Elizabeth St showcasing DJ's newly acquired brands such as Hugo Boss Women, Victoria Beckham, and the Kardashian Collection (we'll see how that goes).

She's wearing one of my favourite brands, Lover (which will be stocked at David Jones from August 1), looking stunning in Lover's Red Serpent Lace Dress and strappy Louboutins!

FYI: Michelle Williams actually wore the same dress last year in October. I also love how she wears it, but it's quite obvious that Miranda gives it the sex appeal (it's her pins!)

Comic Con 2011: Chris Evans

By now, everybody should know that I adore Chris Evans, and hope someday that my boyfriend ends up looking like him. Naww, he looks so adorable in this picture.

He is rocking his J Brand chinos as he walks past the USO girls on his way to briefly speak about 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and the upcoming Avengers flick. If you guys haven't seen it yet, you must do when it hits cinemas everywhere in Australia on Thursday!

Comic Con 2011: Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron is one of those actresses who you just can't help but hate and love at the same time. She is talented, yet isn't just another brainless paparazzi obsessed bimbo. But she is so gorgeous, that you can't help but envy her.

Charlize killed it in her rag and bone heritage skinny jeans and gold wedges. Inside the theatre, she talked about her role as The Queen in the new Snow White movie alongside Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth. Love it!

Oh, wow. "Your eyes are such a deep ocean blue Alex," Ryan says as he stares lovingly into Alexander's eyes.

Comic Con 2011: Olivia Munn

It's always refreshing to see celebrities dress down on the odd occasion. It makes you think that they are normal people too! (except with a bucket load of money and an overflowing designer wardrobe).

Olivia Munn looks fresh as she makes her way into Comic Con in her blue gingham dress from Tree People by Emma Watson and YSL 'Tribute Heels'.

Comic Con 2011: The Vampire Diaries

As much as I hate to admit this, I am addicted to The Vampire Diaries. Its just something mindless and entertaining I like to watch after a hard days work at the office/uni. Plus, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley aren't a terrible choice to come home too!

Nina Dobrev is one lucky lady! She gets to date Damon Salvatore in real life, yet hook up with Stefan too. Biatch! She looks cute as a pie in her purple satin peep toe heels and multi-coloured Dalia MacPhee one shoulder frock. The colours of the dress and the shoes work very well without outdoing each other.

Ian Somerhalder always has some questionable hat choices but hey, at least this time it suits! (I still can't get over his horrific outfit at the MUCH Music Awards - one suspender Ian really?). Meanwhile, Stefan always looks so dashing.

Comic Con 2011: Robert Pattinson

It's my favourite time of the year: COMIC CON! The annual Comic Con convention was held in San Diego this past weekend. This event is a MUST for all comic, sci-fi, and film lovers. Every year these amazing panels are held where fans get to ask the actors and creators of blockbuster films and television shows including The Avengers, The Twilight Saga, Supernatural, and True Blood.

It truly is an amazing event and thousands and thousands of nerds descend onto the city of San Diego dressed in their cosplay outfits, texta in ready, and spending a buckload of cash on the exclusive memorabilia available.

Now, I know Comic Con is probably one of the most relaxed and casual events on the Hollywood calendar, but that doesn't excuse some of the MAJOR fashion mishaps that occur.

Case in point: Robert Pattinson. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH HIS HAIR? He shaved half of his head off. I think this is his way of saying to all the tween girls, "BACK THE F' UP"

Brief Captain America Review

Earlier this morning I had the opportunity to watch a media screening of  'Captain America: The First Avenger' before the general public . I will post my final review later this week, but just wanted to give my readers a little sneak peek.

I absolutely LOVED IT! It captured the mood of the 40s superbly and a solid performance all around from the cast especially Chris Evans and Tommy Lee Jones. Their screen time together was hilarious! As a comic girl, I was delighted with the tonne of Marvel Universe references that was in the film, and Thor lovers especially, would appreciate. It is an awesome prelude to the upcoming The Avengers film next year, and a little hint: stick around to the end credits to watch an exciting teaser for The Avengers!


Chris Evans definitely owned the part and I couldn't imagine anybody else playing Steve Rogers. Chris has truly made the Captain his own. 

'Captain America: The First Avenger' is out in cinemas everywhere from Thursday, July 28.

NEW AVENGERS POSTERS RELEASED

I know this strays away from my daily posts about fashion, but as a comics fan and someone that has been so excited for this movie, I must post about this!

New posters for The Avengers were released at Comic Con yesterday. After watching Captain America today, I can honestly say, I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!

Coveting: Celine & Gucci

To remove the horrible images my eyes had to endure below,  I am going to post a picture of my favourite look of the week.

This is Jennifer Aniston at the London premiere of Horrible Bosses Wednesday night. She is a 40-year old something but damn, she does not look a day older than 25 (maybe 30). She can definitely teach a few young ones and Charlotte Dawson a thing or two about dressing sexy.

Her tight black leather Celine mini and strappy black Gucci 'Kinga' heels (it has mini studs at the back) are so simple but TO DIE FOR! Some say that she "copied" Angelina Jolie's black leather Michael Kors dress two years ago, but seriously who cares! Angelina looked stunning back then, and so does Jen now.

Speaking of leather: look our for my post next week on how to wear leather and pull it off without looking like you're going to whip somebody with your ball and chain.

ASTRA Awards: Charlotte Dawson

Charlotte Dawson always reminds me of one of those American wives you see on the Real Housewives of Miami. Or if there was a Sydney version, she'd be the queen bee. Blonde, annoying as hell on ANTM, and a whole lot of botox.

Also, I think I can see her undies.

ASTRA Awards: Lizzie Lovett & Erin McNaught

Mustard and gold are definitely the colours of the season! MTV Australia's VJ Erin McNaught dazzled in her gold floor length gown, while radio DJ Lizzie Lovett (who is just such a lovely person) looked as equally stunning in a one shoulder mustard gown and matching accessories! Va-voom!

ASTRA Awards: Sarah Murdoch

I've always loved Sarah Murdoch. She's one of the few Aussie personalities with both talent and brains. She once came into my work, 8 months pregnant, with her children in tow and she had no make-up on, yet she still looked so radiant.

Like always, she glammed up the evening and added an extra bit of class, showing off her figure in a not-too short Alex Perry silver sparkly dress. Loving her Tom Ford ankle wrap heels!

ASTRA Awards: Tara Moss

Last night, the 9th annual ASTRA awards were held in Sydney at the Sydney Theatre. It was flooding out there so kudos to the personalities that trekked it down in the rain!

Despite the crazy weather, Tara Moss looked FABULOUS! One of my favourite looks of the night! I don't know how she did it but her hair looks perfect! I know that after just ONE second stepping outside my house, I end up looking like Edward Scissorhands. True story.

The Cover: Maxim Australia & Jennifer Hawkins

Maxim Australia's inaugural issue is due to hit newstands tomorrow. It's first ever cover girl is Jennifer Hawkins in an attempt to try and fill the brainless void left by the sinking of Alpha and Ralph. I must say, that it's going to be doing a very good job!

J Hawkins looks simply ravishing in her black lace lingerie. I bet that most of the readers that pick up the issue tomorrow are only buying it for the "stories". Not.

Hips Don't Lie

Emma Stone has captured my heart ever since I watched Easy A. I have a soft spot for her. I really do. She makes being a ginger look so sexy that, this one time, I even considered dying my jet-black hair red (on someone with really dark hair that will not go down so well).

She attended the world premiere of 'Crazy Stupid Love' earlier this week in New York. I love her make-up: those berry lips, liquid eyeliner, and her gorgeous red hair. 

From the neck up she looks gorgeous. However, keep going down and WHAT THE FUDGE IS UP WITH THOSE HIPS?! The black lace detail is stunning but those hips could stab somebody. Ok, they're not really her hips, just the style of the dress, but I really hope pointy hips aren't going to be the trend of the future.

I think I spoke too soon. Lovin' the colours of her red and pink Giambattista Valli dress but HER HIPS WON'T STOP STARING AT ME!

Captain America Premiere: Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens is not in the movie (thank god), however she decided to attend the premiere. As much as I don't like her, I have to admit she does look cute in her gold mini & yellow wedges.

Still, I won't be seeing any of her horrible movies anytime soon!

Captain America Premiere: Chris Hemsworth

I always argue with my best mates who is the better superhero: Thor or Captain America? Or in other words Chris Hemsworth or Chris Evans? 


I'm still trying to decide.

Captain America Premiere: Zoe Saldana

I love Zoe Saldana! To noone's surprise, I love her matching outfit. Cute shorts, simple accessories, and an amazing print. Her gorgeous shorts and matching blazer are courtesy of Balmain from their 2012 Resort Collection.

Captain America Premiere: Robert Downey Jnr.

Also in attendance was Robert Downey Jnr. Although he doesn't appear in the film he will be starring alongside Evans in the blockbuster Avengers flick to be released in May next year. RDJ hasn't always been the best dresser. Unfortunately, he doesn't do much to amend his reputation here.

Nice suit. Lose the shirt. At least he's smiling though!

Captain America Premiere: Hayley Atwell

Hayley Atwell plays Peggy Carter, Steve Rogers leading lady in the flick. Judging by her outfit, who can resist!

Her custom made L'Wren Scott plunging 3/4 red dress showed off her figure and her best assets without revealing too much. Her hair is styled in a simple chic ponytail. Less is always more. Ladies, take note!

Captain America Premiere: Chris Evans

Only 8 days away till Captain America: The First Avenger is released in Australia. Like always, the Americans get everything early, and this morning the premiere of the much anticipated movie was held in LA.

First up: man of the moment, Chris Evans.  I've been such a big fan of his for a long time, since his first movie 'Not Another Teen Movie' came out, and I'm happy that so much press has been given to him. He has always been a talent, but very underused, and finally, he is getting recognition for being the good actor he is.

Other than his acting skills, Chris knows how to style himself! He looks so dapper in his three piece navy suit and checkered pocket square. Coloured lenses are so hard to pull off, and when I first saw him on the red carpet, I was very sceptical. But after pondering about, I LOVE IT! Chris pulls this look off with style. So very indie chic. A superhero and a style icon? It's too much for one man!

Style Yourself:Colour your feet

I saw these Brian Atwood 'Orlanda' blue pumps on Mila Kunis as she appeared on Regis & Kelly Monday night (U.S. time). If any of you have been into the stores in Sydney, most of the retailers are stocking BRIGHT, BIG, BOLD, BLOCK COLOURS! And I love it!

Adding a touch of orange, pink, yellow, red, blue...all the colours of the freakin' rainbow can make your outfit so much more appealing and chic.

The Autobots and Hermés join forces

I enjoyed Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon for three reasons: 1) I like talking robots 2) Josh Duhamel and 3) THE FASHION!

Fashion? Really? In Transformers? The movie where you can count on one hand how many women appear on the screen (two), the obvious sexualism, and the talking robots? Yes, really.

For one, in a scene with Frances McDormand (Charlotte Mearing) there lies next to a Louis Vuitton Speedy a Hermés Green Ostrich Birkin Bag. Now for those of you who don't know, there is a WAITING LIST to get your hands on this gem and it retails from $2000 up to an entire house.

However, of course who I am most referring to is naturally Rosie-Huntington Whiteley. She looked so stunning in her blue sequined mini I momentarily forgot that I was actually watching a movie about giant robots rather than Fashion TV.

If anyone can tell me where I can find this dress and who it is from, I will be forever grateful. I know there is a red sparkler floating around somewhere but I can't seem to remember who, what, and where!

Also, loving her tight white minis...Much better than Megan Fox and her rebel-schoolgirl-who-wears-midriffs-all-the-time.

Harem Pants? No, no, no

I love Jesse Williams. I really do. I love him in Grey's Anatomy and he always looks so dapper as one can be in scrubs. So when I saw a picture of him attending Pharrell's Qream Launch Party this week I was undecided.

I've always thought that harem pants on men looked too much like MC Hammer and the bad fashion of the 80s. I don't know what to think of this. He's wearing raw selvage DROP CROTCH denim harem pants..The pants itself may look simplistic but you can seriously fit a 800 page novel IN HIS CROTCH and possibly more...

The ESPYs: Brooklyn Decker

I don't know much about Brooklyn Decker besides the fact that she was in that movie with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston playing the typical young hot chick that Sandler always seems to get with (seriously, what is up with that?!).

But this model-turned-actress absolutely killed it in her Jay Ahr red leather dress and 'Pigalle' gold spiked Louboutin heels. The hair could have been styled in a classier do but the look is just divine.

The ESPYs: Dirk Nowitzki

Godamn, he is tall!!! The Dallas Mavericks scored big on the night and their giant star NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki took out Best Male Athlete and Best NBA Player. Unlike Serena Williams, Dirk knows how to dress himself. The curse of the awesome-sports-star-but-horrible-dresser is overturned...For now.

And oh, kudos on matching with your lady love Dirk!
